About Rituparna

Social Entrepreneur • Gender Justice Advocate • Educator

I am Rituparna Neog, an educator, changemaker, and gender rights advocate with over a decade of experience advancing inclusive education, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, and community empowerment across India. As the Founder and Director of Akam Foundation, I design and lead strategic programs that bridge the gap between grassroots realities and policy-level change—particularly in rural and underserved regions in northeast India.

My work focuses on sustainable models of social transformation through community libraries, gender sensitization modules, and educational outreach. Initiatives like Kitape Katha Koi have redefined access to inclusive literature and well-being for marginalized youth. Recognized nationally for leadership in intersectional advocacy, I continue to amplify silenced voices and reimagine justice through inclusive knowledge systems.
